FS Sistemi Urbani returns to MIPIM for the 2024 edition
Eight short videos to describe eight urban regeneration projects promoted by the Ferrovie dello Stato group and presented at MIPIM in Cannes , the world's largest real estate fair.
A prestigious event that every year attracts investors, developers, designers and professionals from all over the world.
The focus of the event was on the major regeneration projects that FS Sistemi Urbani is proposing for several former railway areas in Italy's major cities. These projects focus on environmental and social sustainability, intermodality, and land use reduction.

Rome Tiburtina
The Rome Tiburtina area is located between the Nomentano and Tiburtino-Pietralata neighborhoods: the former is primarily residential and commercial, the latter offers ample open space and significant potential for redevelopment. Served by the high-speed train station, the Metro B line, and major roads, it is easily accessible by both public and private transportation.
Turin Porta Susa
The Porta Susa development, in the heart of Turin, stands on the site cleared by the 1980s underground railway line, opposite Renzo Piano's Intesa San Paolo skyscraper and near the high-speed train station opened in 2013. The area is highly accessible thanks to the station, internal roads, and Corso Bolzano and Corso Inghilterra, which connect to the city center.
Rome Trastevere
The 120,000 square meter area, once a railway site, is undergoing urban regeneration according to the Quattroventi–Trastevere–Porto Fluviale Plan. The urban redevelopment plan includes a 7,000 square meter accommodation facility, cycle and pedestrian paths, the redevelopment of the disused railway line, a new transport hub, and equipped green spaces for the neighborhood.
Naples Phlegraean Fields
An urban regeneration project with 50,000 square meters of new building rights for student housing, office space, hospitality, commercial, and residential areas, including temporary reuse. A Program Agreement will guide the urban planning variant, complemented by the redevelopment of the former Arsenal for a university campus.
Turin Lingotto
The Turin Lingotto site, in the southwest, is located in the future "Parco della Salute, Ricerca e Innovazione" (Health, Research and Innovation Park) (PSRI), next to the Piedmont Region skyscraper and the former OVAL facility, now a cultural and exhibition center. It is highly accessible thanks to the Lingotto station, Metro Line 1, and Via Nizza, the main artery to the city center.
Voghera
The "Ex Squadra Rialzo" asset can be connected to the "Terzo Valico," part of the Genoa-Northern Europe freight corridor. The area includes the "Former Locomotive Shed" and former carriage shelters. The "Ex Scalo" area, paved and in good condition, is located near the station, and is used for interchange and station services.
