METRONAUTI
An artistic journey through Rome's new archaeostations
Rome, 12/16/2025 - Today Rome unveils two new stations on Line C: unique places suspended between past and future, where modernity walks alongside two thousand years of history.
METRONAUTI is the artistic project conceived by Linee for WeBuild that presents this first day as a visionary unboxing: the stations light up—literally and symbolically—through the kinetic and musical dynamism of performers and musicians, in a journey that is both dance and revelation. Each movement opens up a space, each passage reveals a detail, and what is normally a crossing becomes a stage and a museum, a threshold and a spectacle.
The narrative intertwines the voices of experts: Marco Cervone (Construction Manager of the Construction Consortium), Daniela Porro (Special Superintendent of Rome), Andrea Sciotti (Sole Project Manager), and Alfonsina Russo (Head of the Department for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage, MIC). These interviews don't interrupt the journey: they deepen it. Technical and poetic, civic and dreamlike, METRONAUTI brings together expertise and wonder, concreteness and myth.
Then, suddenly, the magic fades. The bodies recompose, the music fades, the train departs. Everyone becomes a simple traveler again.
Because we are the METRONAUTS—the ordinary people who, from now on, will be passengers at the new stations every day. Immersed in beauty.
In Rome, even the incredible is part of everyday life. And this journey, begun two thousand years ago, continues. Underground. On the move.
